Our Poster

Under the CCE programme, we were tasked at the 2nd Chance program at PT Foundation. We worked there for 3 days a week as Academic Interns wherein our jobs were focused on tutoring the kids. Aside from planning our own projects, we were also blessed with the opportunity to work with Psychosocial Interns during the Outreach programme and on Sunday Tutorials.

The children and mothers we met were as normal as you and me. You wouldn't have been able to tell them apart if you had bumped into them on the street. Maybe at home things were more difficult for them but during Sundays at PT,  it was a form of leisure and relieve from their everyday dilemmas. The kids enjoyed learning from the volunteers, staffs and interns whereas the mothers enjoyed the company of each other.

That's all from us for now. If you would like to find out more, please do take a look at our poster below. Also do keep an eye out for the presentation we'll be releasing soon :)

  1. Dear Students, I always felt that working with the residents of PT foundation provided a eye opening and impressionable experience for students. Your idea for a level based education for the 2nd chance program is fantastic. Hope the agency is able to adopt it and assess it benefits. Love to hear more about this from the field educator. Good work!

  2. As an NGO, I have to say that is a much needed resource. Well done on taking the time to assess the various needs and building up the educational resources that would best suit those needs!
